Privacy

Last updated: 28 April 2026

Plain version: this site collects the minimum it needs to do its job. Your data isn't sold, isn't traded, and isn't used for anything you didn't sign up for. If you want it deleted, ask and it's gone.

Who's behind this

This site is run by Kalani Smith. If you've got a question about your data, hit /contact and pick "General".

What we collect

  • Newsletter signups: email address (and the page you signed up from, so we can see what works).
  • FEEDBAG waiting list: email + optional name.
  • FEEDBAG vendor applications: business name, your name, email, location, venue type, and anything you write into the message.
  • Contact form: name, email, optional company, your message, and which type of enquiry it was.
  • Anonymous analytics via Vercel Analytics — pageviews and country/device aggregates. No cookies, no individual tracking, no IP storage.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to you when you write in.
  • To tell you when FEEDBAG launches if you signed up for the waiting list.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for. You can unsubscribe from any email — link's at the bottom of every send.
  • To improve the site (which posts work, which don't).

Where it's stored

Form data lives in Supabase (Postgres database, hosted in the EU). The newsletter list is held by Beehiiv, our email platform. Both have their own published privacy policies — give them a read if you're curious.

How long we keep it

Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe. FEEDBAG signups: until the product launches and we've contacted you, then we'll clean the list. Contact-form messages: 24 months, then deleted. Vendor applications: kept while we're in conversation; deleted on request.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • Show you what we hold on you.
  • Correct anything wrong.
  • Delete the lot.
  • Stop using it for any specific purpose (e.g. emails).

Email via the contact form — we'll action requests within 30 days.

Cookies

We don't set marketing cookies. The only cookies are functional ones for the cart on /shop (so your basket survives a refresh) and for keeping the admin signed in.

Third-party services

  • Supabase — database + auth. Hosted in the EU.
  • Beehiiv — newsletter platform.
  • Shopify — checkout for shop purchases.
  • Vercel — site hosting.
  • Resend — transactional email.
  • YouTube — embedded video previews via public RSS.

Changes

If we materially change how data is handled, we'll update the date at the top and — for active newsletter subscribers — drop you a heads-up.
